The York compressor was used on most AMC cars thru 1980. It is also often used on aftermarket conversions -- it has a separate oil crankcase and oil must be added to it when servicing. The Sanden was used on 1980 4 cylinder Eagles and then all Eagles after 1980 -- Sanden's are lubricated by using refrigerant with compressor oil added.
