If you own a larger Ford truck, F-4, F-5 or F-6 you probably know it's hard to find replacement wheels for the Widow Maker rims that came stock on these trucks. Photos of two piece "widow maker" rims 1948 - 1956 F1, F100 & Larger F-Series Trucks. Only then is the wheel removed from the truck.After repair. Several years ago when my uncle rebuilt my grandfathers old 50 F4 1 ton it had those widow maker rims. The term "split rim" can be misleading.
